15-07-24. An exceptional stay in Ravello. "The Villa Barluzzi will rank among the very best places we have ever stayed. From beginning to end, it was a truly exceptional experience. We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary there and it was exactly what we were looking for. The Villa is a luxury, boutique hotel with attentive and enthusiastic staff who clearly love and respect this 12th century church that was reconfigured into a stunning small hotel. I believe there are only 6 rooms, and each carries a theme from Greek mythology, with unique furnishings (we were blown away by all the perfectly chosen antiques), playful frescoes, gorgeous floors, and elements from the church - all expertly woven in. If you love art, architecture, history, and the most fabulous views of the Tyrrhenian Sea right from your room (!), this place is for you. If you appreciate peace and relaxation, this place is for you. If you enjoy a delicious breakfast, prepared just as you request, this place is for you. Located just a short walk (there are stairs) from the main square, the Villa Barluzzi is a perfect jumping off point to explore more of the Amalfi Coast, if that is your desire, or to simply rest and relax (that was our desire). Taking a taxi or bus to neighboring towns is easy -- you do need to walk up or down some external paths and stairs. We saw that as a plus, and not a minus. If you know anything about the small villages and towns that dot the Amalfi Coast, this should not surprise you. They are built into the steep hills and are hundreds of years old, and the inner areas are pedestrian-only. Salvatore, who is the wonderful manager, is happy to suggest activities - whether that's a cruise for fishing, or exploring the Villa Cimbrone gardens (highly recommend). He really wanted all his guests to have the best time possible, which we did. We highly recommend the Villa Barluzzi as a gorgeous small hotel that perfectly embodies the spirit of the Amalfi Coast. Everything was wonderful!"

07-07-24. A hidden gem away from the maddening crowd. "The fact that we stayed in a 12th century church! The super comfortable room with our own gorgeous garden with amazing views. The personalised service we recieved from Salvatore the manager, his dedication to his job and how passionate he is about it!"

23-06-24. The hotel rooms, and Salvatore the host, are exceptional. This hotel perfectly represents the beauty and the charm of Ravello. Salvatore our host, was full of energy and went out of his way to provide the best experience we have ever had. The rooms are way beyond exceptional, they are just.... breath taking. Breakfast was served every morning out on the private terrace overlooking the Amalfi coast. The view is spectacular, the terrace beautiful with a fountain and large lemon tree wrapped around a trellis that gave the perfect amount of sun and shade. From modern bathroom, giant tub by the widow, giant glass doors, frescas on the extremely high ceiling, fine hand crafted furniture, ice cold quiet AC and large roman columns you will find the deep roots of Ravello's spiritual past while at the same time enjoy its modern conveniences. .

15-06-24. Stunning views!!!!!! Unsurpassed assistance and care from Salvatore!!!!!!!!! All rooms seemed to be of different shapes and with different balcony and porch sizes. Our room was called Queen Room with Sea View. The room was very small but luxurious. We had 3 large porches and a hot tub. We lived outside most of the time. It was great to jump into the hot tub at the end of each day of walking. Breakfasts were great in the garden area We included pictures of our views and a very large room below us.

06-06-2024.- Exceptional in Service, Location and a Completely Dreamy Experience! If I could give 100 stars for this stay I would! I have traveled to over 50 countries and stayed in many exceptional hotels, resorts, etc., but Villa Barluzzi is now at the top of my list. Salvatore and his staff are exceptional in every way, welcoming us as family. Their passion for service and their guests is unmatched. The property is not only beautiful, it is a work of art. We stayed in the Kronos suite which completely exceeded our expectations with a private terrace and garden. We cannot wait to return and experience this beautiful property again!

02-06-2024.- A perfect hotel, in the cutest town. This was the best experience I’ve ever had at a hotel. From the moment we arrived in Ravello, Salvatore took amazing care of us. His passion for the hotel and town are unmatched. I would come to this hotel every year for the rest of my life if I could. There is nothing that is not 10 stars about this hotel.

30-05-2024.-Simply exquisite! One of the most beautiful locations I have been lucky enough to have stayed in. What an absolute privilege from check in to check out. The attention to detail is magnificent and Salvatore is the cherry on top. What a wonderful host!

27-05-2024.-This peaceful, beautiful villa was the perfect place to propose, and I am forever grateful My secret plan from day one was to propose in Italy/Amalfi to my (now) financée. She'd mentioned in passing that she hoped for a private, intimate setting for a proposal. When I stumbled across the magnificent Villa Barluzzi while searching for a hotel suite, I knew this would be the perfect place to pop the question. Once the suite was booked (Kronos), I was in regular contact with the wonderful & sincere host, Salvatore via messaging. With great enthusiasm, he listened to and actioned my requests, and gave me good suggestions on where to book our post-engagement meal. When we both arrived at the villa for the big moment, I was just as gobsmacked as my financée even though I knew what was coming. In-person, the Kronos suite truly was something else. Inside the room, the attention to detail with the finishings, ornately painted floors, terracotta + brass tiling, and overall grandeur matched the occasion. I proposed on the AMAZING private garden terrace, the huge Amalfi panorama framed within the background on a beautiful day. It was incredibly romantic, and my financée and I loved every second. Villa Barluzzi, the diligence of Salvatore & staff helped create an unforgettable experience, for us to enjoy our engagement to the fullest in our little slice of Italy. We'll be forever grateful. Stunning - just like my future bride!

27-05-2024.-Unequivocally, one of the best vacation experiences I’ve had! Villa Barluzzi exceeded our expectations on every level. The location is perfect for a quiet retreat, yet you’re only steps away from Ravello village square, the spectacular views that surround Ravello, and attractions like Villa Cimbrone. Perched high on the hillside, the views from Villa Barluzzi are so incredible that there are no words to articulate the beauty of the landscape and the Mediterranean. And if that isn’t enough, the white glove service from Salvatore and his staff was second to none – you feel like family the moment you meet Salvatore. We were so impressed that we extended our stay.

15-05-2024.- Wow, wow, wow, a truly amazing stay. What can I say: from the moment we arrived, no actually, even before we arrived, the communication from Salvatore was fantastic, he is an asset to the Villa, nothing is to much trouble, what a genuine person he is, who truly cares about the Villa and your stay in it. After we had caught our breath, because the beauty of this Villa really does take your breath away, we were shown everything that we needed to know, impeccable service from all the staff and the attention to detail was amazing. I could go on and on, but don't take my word for it just stay here, you will not regret it. The beds were soooo comfortable it was a real effort to get up in the morning. The Villa was spotlessly clean and breakfast served in your room by Sylvia and Titiana was so delicious. I really can't praise Salvatore and the Ladies enough they made an amazing stay into a wonderful memory to cherish forever.

09-05-2024.- A truely memorable & exceptionally comfortable stay at the beautiful Villa Barluzzi! Salvatore is incredibly helpful. This is a very unique & historic building with beautiful ornate features throughout! Our room was fantastic! There is great attention to detail in everything. The towels & bedding are amazing quality, all rooms have a sea view for breakfast on your terrace & there are some lovely Italian treats to sample!! Everything is very considered. Grazie mile!!!

03-05-2024.- A great alternative to the bigger hotels. The Villa is a beautiful old chapel and related rooms, and we had two room. Each was full of character with lovely views and balconies and/or outdoor space. The GM Salvatore is a delight and coordinated a car to bring us from Positano. He made a number of great suggestions of what to visit and how to avoid the most crowded areas. Breakfast was delicious. The grounds in front of the Villa are beautiful, and they are adding additional amenities. Not a problem for us, but it is accessed only via fairly steep walkways. If you find walking up hills challenging, this may not be the place for you.

01-05-2024.- Eccezionale. My wife and I have traveled extensively for the past 20 years, but this property was truly unlike any other. The meticulous attention to detail created a truly unique and unforgettable paradise. The manager and staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel like cherished family members throughout our stay. If you're seeking an experience that will leave you with lasting memories, look no further – this is the place!

30-04-2024.- Stunning Villa, Magical Stay, The Best Hosts Imaginable. Where do I start? Salvatore and the team (Sylvia / Titiana) were the most incredible hosts we have ever stayed with. We stayed for 2 nights in the Kronos suite and I ended up proposing to my partner during the stay. I really cannot speak anymore highly of Salvatore, Sylvia and Titiana - they went above and beyond for us and made our stay a truly magical experience. I am limited in my review word count so I will try to be as concise as possible! Incredible communication for many weeks before via Whatssap. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel like family - he helped on the phone with our taxi driver, he met us at the town centre to help with our (extremelly heavy) bags, gave us a fantastic tour of the accommodation and even a private mini tour around of the town to point out local bars, restaraunts, attractions etc. Salvatore is a hilarious, charming and caring guy - it felt as though we were old friends! The suites are stunning with amazing details throughout. Barluzzi is a converted old church and the photos really do not do it justice. We stayed in Kronos with the full private garden with panaormic views of the coast - the views are seriously breathtaking. Hot tub is also great and always piping hot 😉 Salvatore had known for several weeks I was planning to propose to my partner during the holiday. We had ice cold Prosecco waiting for us - once we had settled in Salvatore snuck me off and took me to the top of the building where the top suite has an amazing private terrace. He noted they could do a surprise breakfast on the roof terrace as the guests were not arriving until several days later. I ended up proposing in the bell tower over the surprise breakfast they organised - it was truly magical and completely down to the hospitality, charm and professionalism of the entire team. We are so happy to have the team as part of our engagement story - it really wouldnt have been the same without them. Salvatore is an absolute gem - we will be back!!

04-04-2024.- Different, very Italian, very beautiful. The room was wonderful, the view was amazing, a unique experience in a villa which was actually a church built 1000 years ago. Great mosaics, great furniture, real luxury. We also loved Salvatore, who was always a great help and even took us to a walk around the town streets.

19-10-2023.- This place is from your dreams. Fabulous. The place is out of this world, DIVINE. Salvatore, the general manager, along with two wonderful ladies -Tiziana and Flora run this place with so much love. You get everything in there: warmth, marvellous hospitality, breathtaking views, attention to detail, amazing amenities, help when needed. And the sunrises every morning leave you speechless. You just feel very welcome and looked after. And the property is pure Italian perfection.

08-10-2023.- Stay here! Villa Barluzzi was exceptional in every way! The location is fantastic, the room and terraces are new and luxurious, the view is breathtaking, the breakfasts are plentiful and delicious, and Salvatore, is the most attentive, responsive, cheery, and helpful Host ever! He made our stay that much sweeter. Everything we asked for, Salvatore tackled immediately. He helped us with our luggage, made restaurant reservations, provided directions, politely answered our abundant questions and made sure that we had whatever we desired. Salvatore is a gem and such a pleasure to have as a resource. His enthusiasm and love for his quests is unmatched.

03-10-2023.- Stay here! Most Amazing Property I’ve Ever Stayed In. The property is absolutely stunning and the location is in close proximity to the city center. My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and, before the first night was even over, we were talking about coming back. The concierge was also an incredible help throughout our stay in addition to being one of the most welcoming we’d encountered throughout our honeymoon. We can’t stay enough wonderful things about the property and it’s concierge! If you are wondering whether to stay here, the answer is definitely yes! There is no elevator and there are some stairs to get to the city center; however the concierge provided exceptional service and helped us with our luggage! He also helped us to organize a cab for the morning of our departure.

02-10-2023.- Eccezionale Dreamy. Unique. Magical. An experience. Sweeping views of the sea from the largest terrace imaginable with a private dining area and separate area with relaxing hot tub. I was traveling alone and chose the the smallest room in the villa but the terrace was more than twice its size. Interiors are fit for royalty. The history of the villa and renovation, completed this year, are fascinating. There are many beautiful places in Italy to stay but to stay in a restored church dating from the eleven hundreds is an experience not to be missed. Salvatore, the manager, has been with the property since before the first guests were welcomed and he left no detail to chance. He anticipated what I needed and exceeded my expectations in every way.

18-10-2023.- Excelente escolha, superou bastante as expectativas! Antiga Igreja reformada e recém inaugurada. Amplo quarto, bem equipado e decorado, grande terraço com espreguiçadeiras e mesa para tomar café da manhã (ou drink final de tarde) com uma vista de tirar o fôlego (quarto Afrodite). Excelente para casais em lua de mel ou não. Para coroar tivemos toda a atenção e assessoria de Salvatore, com certeza o melhor Hostess de toda Costa Amalfitana.
